Police officers of Reddit, what's the weirdest thing you've caught teenagers or kids doing that is illegal but you found hilarious?

Not a cop but happened to me

My highschool girlfriend and I would sneak out of our houses, she would pick me up in her car (she was a year older and I couldn't get my car out of the house) and we would "hang out" in the back of her car at the local high school parking lot.

One night we notice one other car in the parking lot, but think nothing of it. So we continue on "hanging out" when around 2am a car pulls into the lot and drives straight up to the other car. We watch as it then comes straight at us. We (stupidly) hide under our blanket in the back seat laughing, until we hear a knock on the window and look up to see the local police standing outside.

I didn't have my license on me and neither did my girlfriend, so the cop gave us 3 options to choose from

"I can take you both down to the police station, book you for trespassing and being out past curfew, and call your parents. I can call your parents right here and have them pick you up. Or, you both get back in her car, we follow as she drives you back home, you sneak back in however you had planned, then follow her back home where she parks the car and sneaks back in however she planned"

Now after this

After listing these options he says "now I'll give you both a minute to confer between the two of you on which option you would like to choose"

Me being the smart ass I am, jokingly said "you know option 2 sounds like the good middle ground". At this time my girlfriend gives me a death stare and the cop laughs.

We ended up going with option 3 and learned to never go back into that parking lot after 10pm. It was also motivation to sneak into each others houses instead, but that's a whole different story.
