Hijab has nothing to do with Islam. Less than century ago almost no muslim women were wearing one. The traditional Arab attire for women in specific regions may have included a very modest scarf which covered the hair, but it was a cultural, rather than religious thing. As the Egyptian writer Aalam Wassef recently pointed out in his Article for Le Point, the Hijab, Burka and Burkini are not symbols of Islam, but radical Wahhabi/Salafi Islam, and have become mainstream only due to influence of these radical ideologies in the clergy of Islam in the past 50 years or so. Adherents of Wahhabism do not recognize any other rule or law than Sharia, and are on a mission to create world-wide caliphate that seeks to purge the word of non-muslims, either by conversion or death. The recognition of Hijab as an official attire is both an attack against secular non-wahhabi muslims and every non-muslim in Scotland. This yet another disgusting example of politically correct ignorance, that is the result of marcist social justice influence in governmental decision making, and emphasizes the alliance between leftism and radical Islam.
