Police shot Portland slaying suspect without warning or trying to arrest him first, witness says

Congratulations, you rude idiot, I’ll remove my other comments after posting this comment. I had not seen this or other articles, nor had I seen the other images associate with it. All the images appear to come from official sources, but they still look questionable to me, because there are spatial arrangement issues within them. I’ve personally passed by that alcove, and those images look off to me. Perhaps it’s just paralax (in which case I called them fake too hastily), or perhaps it is photoshopping (in which case who knows what’s up, but it’s not likely to be anything good).

Also, in a broader context, the other images released by the police (as well as some of the published details) at the same time as the source images you originally posted bring up questions regarding the sequence of events and interactions between the dead men, as well as Pappas. The other images, presumably taken before the one of Reinoehl in the alcove (I’ll concede that it’s him in the images now that I’ve seen others with more context), show Danielson and Pappas behind Reinoehl, and all three facing/walking the same direction.

What transpired before all of these images? Why did Reinoehl move to the alcove? It’s genuinely not clear, and genuinely perplexing.

I’m not taking sides here, and never was. I’m interested in the truth and in justice. It all seems a bit murkier than the official story that Reinoehl simply ambushed them. From my skeptical and humanitarian perspective, it’s a shame we’ll never know either Danielson’s or Reinoehl’s sides of the story. I don’t think Justice was served, and provocative comments with equally provocative captioned images don’t help.
