Why do politicians endorse political candidates when they lose?

Content- Include the text of your response here. If a candidate drops out of a race or loses the election they will most likely endorse a candidate within the same party that they were a part of. The candidate does this because they do not want all of the support that they had gained from the people just to go to waste and perhaps go away if their supports do not like another candidate. If they endorse another candidate they then are saying that they support the candidate and they would want all of their support to then transfer to that other candidate. It will give that candidate a boost to help him or her win the nomination for that party. The candidate that they endorse and give their support to is the persons that they would want to win the nomination or the election and the candidate that they would most like to see in office that is not themselves, The person that drops out and that endorses and gives their support to other candidate to try and get that person in office by using the voters that were once with him or her but that is no longer an option so might as well help out someone else with your supporters. Another reason is to keep the party unity strong. If a candidate endorses a candidate in the same party instead of supporting nobody in the election will help out that party enormously. It will show that even though one cannot receive the support in order to win another candidate can and they show their support to that candidate which strengthens that party in the long run. Along with the support of the voters they candidate that receives the endorsing may also receive the support of interest groups and Political Action Committees (PACs) and Super Political Action Committees (SuperPACS) which can then help fund the candidate that was endorsed by the candidate that dropped out. The candidate that receives the endorsing from other candidates that drop out or lose elections will receive both voter support with the supporters of the candidate that dropped out turning to the new candidate and helping him win the election and gain support along with the interest group Political Action Committees and Super Political Action Committees which then held fund the candidate and their campaign which hopefully leads to a victory and a nomination t=for that party and a victory in the general election so that that party can have control. The endorsing of a candidate helps out the party because it can eventually lead to a candidate in office and it might not have happened if he or she did not receive the support that they did by getting endorsed.
