Politico: Biden Made Himself A Target By Weakening Due Process

Some concerned gentlemen who believe in climate change and call themselves "post Keynesian" have produced a report for some UN related body, in which they prescribe that the world take drastic steps to cut all international cargo ship trade and manufacture everything locally -- without putting any effort into calculating the emissions cost of building the infrastructure to produce everything locally (and the break even duration), let alone the availability of resources or economic shock -- just threw in a word about "geological implications" as lip service and that's it.

That shit made me so irrationally angry that I felt like punching a wall for the first time in my life. Like... billions of brown people should restructure their entire lives and economies and risk societal collapse to cut a measly 3% of global emissions that form the back bone of modern living (in an industry that cut emissions by close to 40% in the past two decades). Do not put academics on a pedestal. Their degrees aren't worth the paper it's printed on if they can't explain billions of people's lives and their struggles. Laymen should demand grounded answers from "academics"; especially from the apriori, dialectical fields of enquiry.

And why is it a "garbage" article? Biden should hold himslef to the standard he prescribes to all the young men of his country. In fact, even if it does cost him the run, an 80 year old man not getting to cap his career with a presidential run and a 20 year old being kicked out of college aren't even remotely the same thing. This isn't the first time he's pulled this either. Back in the anita hill case, he didn't care about the victim's subjective opinions and he still doesn't, based on his response. But he considers young men's offences to be criminal in nature even though he thinks it's unfair when the same standard is applied to him.
