It seems to me the pro-life movement is in denial about this.

Not just the pro lifers, have to remember it’s actually a popular American opinion that 2nd or 3rd trimester abortions should be banned unless it’s to save the life of the mother. Ostensibly reasonable centrists like Sam agree with this as well.

Unfortunately people seem to superficially land in this split-the-baby moral position without giving much thought if any to what it means practically.

Abortion must be a decision made between a woman and her doctor. Period. We have to trust that she’s not a malicious baby murderer; the stats bear out that baby sacrifices are dead last on the list of reasons why women are choosing to get late stage abortions. They have compelling reasons, and they don’t have to tell you what those reasons are.
