[Poll] Which publisher, in your opinion, at the end of 2018 holds the crown of biggest industry evil?

I'm going to state first and foremost that I own a small business. Also years ago, I've been a manager in global corporations (with some government work on the side). And yes, I also play around with stocks.

The reason I state the above is to give background on how I formed my opinion. As a businessman who dabbles in investments, with experience working for corporations, it's easier for me to accept the fact that companies are out there to make money. That's the be-all-end-all. Companies are not necessarily "evil" just because they provide "bad products" since they don't intend to harm you in any way. What one can say though, is that companies, in the simplest of terms, might simply be providing "bad products."

So "bad products" - yes; "evil - no.

I would also like to add that I have a degree in I/O Psychology. As any Psych student/graduate/researcher knows, it's very common for humans to associate negative connotations to certain words, terms, and incidents given our negativity bias. Negativity affects us more, and so we also end up reacting more because of that.

By using the term "evil corporation," it actually leads to a scenario whereby the user is presenting themselves as "the little guy" who is fighting "an insurmountable evil" -- or "sticking it to The Man" in colloquial terms.

It gives rise to "The Underdog Effect" -- which is another form of Psychological hook whereby it attracts more sympathy simply because it's common for people to root for the underdog.
