Ponzi schemes hit highest level in a decade, hinting next 'investor massacre' may be near

Please hear me out, but I legit made money on a ponzi scheme.

This is 10 years ago or so, but a "friend" of mine asked me to come and hear him out on this great deal. I met with him, and he had another "friend" (some master ponzi scheme scammer) with him. So I stayed and listened while being well aware of this scam setup. However I did not have much money at the time, so the scam-master offered to pay half of the first 150$ (for product test sample), which I could just repay him at the next paydate. However I never repayed him (nor did he contact me to get them back), and I was able to refund the entire 150$ set even though I consumed some of the items.
So I made 75$, got some free stuff, and lost a "friend", which was for the better.
It's important to stop when times are good, so I'm done with ponzi schemes, as a satisfied customer.
