Because Awakening was totally worth having its own rep, and it should have been the game's lead character.

And that was Chrom, no matter how I look at the game it should absolutely have been Chrom. Sakurai's "lack of moveset potential" argument was complete bullshit, because there were a lot of cool things they could have done with skills and weapons (including Bows, Lances and Axes) to make Chrom more unique than the Robin he managed to craft.

Not that it's super hard to make a character more unique than Robin, for all that talk about not being an ordinary swordsman a huge part of his moves are extremely ordinary sword techniques, except some of them sparkle (and if that counts as magical, Roy's been doing that in Melee already). Not even a single skill made it to Robin's moveset, not even IGnis which is the ONE thing that was actually Robin's in the game.

...even so many years later I still feel bitter about all of this. I would kindly ask to not have people replying to me about either the moveset potential thing, or the "who's awakening's protagonist" thing, I'm tired of arguing these things, and nobody can convince me that Robin deserved to be in Smash 4 over Chrom.
