Hes being sarcastic. I dont think that the point of the guys comment was actually to gatekeep and more to "own those goddamn libs with their 'cultural appropriation!11!!11!!"

side note: Cultural appropriation is a stupid concept because culture is meant to be shared and not hoarded, thats how all culture evolves.

Side sidenote: If what im saying is correct this guy is still fuckin stupid because the girl is still going to be hurt by his comment.

If this guy isnt trying to do what im suggesting and is, in fact, trying to genuinely get this girl to not cosplay, and im just being stupid, please reply nicely and explain why im incorrect without being agressive.
