Popular Opinion: Ever since Ryan Johnson f***ed up hyperspace travel by thinking it was just objects moving very fast, the whole concept has been ruined.

The controlled directed beam of a lightsaber makes sense to you but 5 directed beams don’t?

One of us is mixed up, as far as I know interdictor cruisers use gravity well projectors to pull ships out of hyperspace and prevent them from entering it. And the mass shadow generator would pull everything into the crust of a planet (or other celestial object) using the planet’s gravity and on Malachor V it fractured the planet to its core. It was only used twice, plus this was thousands of years before the Skywalker saga. Anyway, these technologies don’t exist all over the galaxy and people are often able to enter and exit hyperspace successfully without interference from these weapons. Why should they not be able to enter hyperspace from within a planet’s atmosphere?
