Yeah, he was covert. He came off as very sweet and goofy when I first met him. His whole fake personal revolved around the loveable nice guy who just wanted everyone to be friends and get along. Then I really got to know him, and I saw deep down he was an empty, mean spirited, and vengeful person. He used pity plays and woe is me bullshit like it was his day job. Everything in his life was someone else's fault. It wasn't that he didn't shower everyday, had a beard that looked like pubes on his puffy red moon face, trailer trash looking teeth (that he had the income to fix), and was fat. None of that was a reason why he couldn't snag beautiful women and ended up with a butterface like me instead...of course not. He was incredibly resentful towards me, and demonstrated in many ways that I was ugly and couldn't measure up to the women he truly wanted in porn.

I found that video you posted not long after I left him, and it really opened my eyes to what I was dealing with. I have family that are diagnosed NPD (the grandiose kind), but I had no idea there was more to that personality type such as coverts and such. Her channel was like a life raft in the horrible storm of self-hatred and sadness I felt from suffering that abuse. She's an incredible resource. I too wish she had taken a strong stance, but I understand that she didn't want to alienate people from her channel.

You're very right in that the risks in forming bonds with a porn addict outweigh any possible benefit (are there any benefits anyway)? Many of these people are narcissists and have a million other issues going on that make them predisposed to become addicted to this content. I just wish they'd stay in their dark rooms doing this disgusting shit, and would leave regular women alone. Many addicts still feel entitled to having a real life partner on top of their internet harem (my ex pursued me and asked me out). I just wish they wouldn't spread their suffering to others as they so often do.
