Portland Public Schools’ graduation rates improve but drop at schools with high leadership churn

The "its for the kids", the "but that's just for buildings", the "if it wasn't renewed they would get even less", the "that's not new money" is all well and good - and im sure you mean well..

But we have millions of new residents, we have property values that have skyrocketed, we have new construction all over, we have new business taxes - the city is receiving astronomically higher property taxes than 20 years ago, the city is receiving astronomically higher business/sales taxes than even 5 years ago, the city is receiving more licensing fees and higher registration fees and gas taxes and so on and so on.

And - Beaverton schools have far better testing scores and graduation rates while spending significantly less per student.

So quit downvoting, and start thinking - WHY should we keep voting for renewals, new bonds, more money more money more money - PPS has failed to properly manage the money for decades!!!!
