Positive of 2018: India decriminalises homosexuality

people are going to complain that it's setting a horrible example for their children, and that gay people are trying to "shove an agenda down their throats". Meanwhile, it feels like every show gets to shoehorn straight love

Kind of a false equivalence don't you think? Gay people make up ~2% of the population. So of course there's going to be 50 straight love scenes for every gay one.

Or less really, let's take into account that filmmakers want to appeal to the largest demographic in that regard, wanting their audiences to relate more closely to the characters. Not to say that heterosexuals can't relate to homosexual relationships, but I'm sure that's the logic being used by some.
