Six Flags has no plan, they throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks. They have not figured out what other chains have, which is you create urgency and good initial pass sales in the fall by people knowing that's the initial August price is best price. You set a time frame of pass increases during the off season..ie..Cedar Fair the best price is prior to labor day and prices go up. They go up again early November after the Halloween events end. They go up again January and go up again early summer prior to prime season. People knowing your pricing strategy is good business practice. SF is haphazard so people are always trying to play the game of waiting for a sale so they won't get shafted with a random price drop after they purchase.
