Possible hijacking reported at SeaTac airport in Washington state

Legends aren't always good, many are infamous, and you can tell just from the comments that this guy is going to be turned into an infamous legend. We live in a society that has been glorifying this kind of stuff in movies and games for decades, to see someone actually do it in the real world is crazy.

This could have gone terribly and killed thousands of people, no one should put aside the lives he threatened, his mental health problems, the destruction he caused, and the loss of his own life.

But the way this story ended means he's not going to be viewed as a terrorist or mass-murderer, and in that light people's reactions to it are going to be very different.
