Is it possible to get SF guaranteed in your enlistment contract?

To young people in high-school or college that don't know any better, I think they think of SecFo as like, 'I get to be a cop AND in the military?? I'll get in high speed car chases! Do detective work! Learn hand to hand combat! Learn how to fire every kind of weapon! Deploy to top secret places! Go on undercover drug busts! Every day is gonna be fucking awesome!"

I mean, when I came in Open Mechanical long ago at 19, I figured I'd be fixing fighter jets or stealth fighters for a living...didn't think I'd end up driving a forklift all day or dumping the shitters in cargo aircraft.

Like a lot of people, some of us just don't do enough research. I feel like 99% of everyone in the Army and Marines don't. Every time they are pissed off about the military or their job I'm like, "Have you never seen a movie or read a book or talked to anyone that's been in the Army before yoy joined?"

I remember Services getting a bad rep when I was younger. Like, if your failed tech school you'd be stuck as a cop or Services. Other than making breakfast for a couple years, Services seems like a chill ass gig with easy deployments.
