Post Episode Discussion - 15.20 "Carry On"

Disagree. Everything up to last year was at Chuck's behest. You sound like the religious person that says "Everything good was God's doing, the bad... The devil. Wasn't God al/mighty/knowing/etc?"

In Supernatural, if you accept the show premised then the Winchester (humanity) were puppets from the beginning (that's the meta behind the books supernatural). The show could've chosen to be brought back but he knew it'd create more problems like the vamp they let get away. By choosing to go, Dean is finally exercising his free will. This has been one of his motives for like 10 years. He wanted freedom.

How could they (the show writers) written it better? What Disney ending are you going to force? Even Eric Kripke agreed with the writers
