I really like Pike. Not a fan of DIS in general, but he's definitely a highlight of the show.
That said...
Favorite? You 4 TV seasons and 6 movies of Kirk, 7 TV seasons and 4 movies of Picard, 7 seasons of Sisko and Janeway, and 4 seasons of Archer.
Despite all that time and growth we've gotten with those characters, all the deep knowledge we've gotten of who they are, Pike is your favorite?
He's definitely a Captain I want more of and want to learn about. Is he the kind of guy that can break his principals and live with it? Is he the kind of guy that can rock out with Jallad at Tanagra? Would he bring his crew back after being transported by the caretaker or would he leave it to die and he exploited?
What I'm saying is we know very little about the character. He's fantastic and I really want a Pike series because of how much I like him, but I'm not ready to put him above Kirk, Picard, and Sisko after one season.
