Post-Episode (S05E13 - "The Soviet Division") and Season 5 Discussion Thread

So I'm late as hell to this thread, and nobody may be listening anymore. But am I the only one who thought this season was fantastic? The Americans has mastered the art of the slow burn and that's what makes it so damn good. I realize that for some people this show may have been about plot lines like the Jennings being discovered, or extravagant spy operations. But for me, this show has always been about how a family copes with those ancillary elements. This season developed the family, on an emotional level, more than any season prior. I've been blown away by the performances of Rhys, Russell, and Taylor. On top of that, Emmerich's acting has been top notch. The scene in the finale where his new girlfriend tries to convince him to stay with FBI and yet he so subtly detects that something may be slightly off with her insistence may have been one of the greatest moments of the season. I could go on and on about the supporting crew as well. I'm just blown away by how good this show is. It's the best drama on television.
