No I think I totally did. When you are talking about record you use wins - losses as what you show but to figure out winning percentage you take (wins + losses) / games to determine it. But people say we are 9-18 it means 9 wins out of 27 games as stated. But if you say a batter is 9-18, or 9 for 18, it means they have hit 9 times out of 18 at bats which is batting .500 for that segment of at bats. My issue was that baseball is fidgety with its numbers because 9-18 can mean something really good or something really bad depending on the context.

Of course all those downvotes will stay downvotes because I didn’t explain myself well enough originally.
