Post game thread: Blazers defeat Mavs 94-75

Prioritizing resigning them is way different than having both of them sign on to the contract. Or be for the cause. I just remember the failed recruitment of d will and Dwight. But we actually landed rondo so I guess a better analogy would be a lamar odom or fisher Dallas cash out plan short stop. It could be another situation with Ellis and Jennings in Milwaukee or Ellis and curry in golden state. Lol Ellis and rondo are both strong headed players. In both of the previous situations the new star drove away Ellis from the organizations. I mean either way my instinct is these two guys may never mesh even with time we are dealing with a all star calibre player who's no longer an all star and a guy who has always been on the cusp of being a all star and wanting to be the teams point man he wants the rock in crunch time. How does Carlisle manage this is the hard question. The real question is if these ballers want to compete for a title together on a longer term basis. I would like for them to both resign that is true however that does not leave us any closer to winning the championship than we have been since the 1st. I think the free agency when Westbrook and Durant hit the market is gonna be crazy. And could very well shape the future of our franchise depending on where those players end up. My hunch is the Lakers will swoop Westbrook and the Wizards will make a move for Durant (if the two don't win the championship this year and opt to resign) I see this happening. If Westbrook goes anywhere other than the lakers you bet your ass Kobe is gonna try to persuade rondo to his team then watch if another team doesn't provide a better offer sheet to Ellis and maybe he leaves too ಠ_ಠ which would mean the future of this franchise is effectively done short term and our lone stars will be parsons and chandler all hypothetical though I miss watching exciting games. We've been mostly poor executing as of late
