Post Game Thread: Leafs at Isles - Feb 28 2019

This loss hurts like Hell. What is concerning is how the Leafs lost their feat after the disallowed goal. Losing focus like that is not how teams progress through the playoffs. Being consistent, and not letting downturns affect performance is what separates just good teams from contenders. I would not be surprised if there are further injuries in the D-core. Which is concerning. But it's also the 2nd game of a back-to-back and it could just be that the players are gassed.

They're happy right now. They're celebrating like they've won a Cup. Good for them. They won't feel any better tomorrow and they'll be just as pathetic of a fanbase and just as pathetic of a team. This is 2 points in the standings. Get home, sleep, and figure out what we need to do to be better as a team. We're the better team. We have not reached our full potential. We've been trying to hit it for a long time and it's time to get it figured out now.

This game stopped mattering the second the end of period horn sounded. The team should focus on what is ahead.
