Post Game Thread (May 2, 2016): Minnesota Twins (8-18) @ Houston Astros (8-18)

Wow, someone had a bad night.

It's May, and it isn't my fault or anyone else's that you put a huge amount of stock in SI predictions.

I don't care about SI predictions. It was just amusing to me that seemingly all the pundits thought this was a world series team and now it's 8-18. And yes, it is indeed May. But the Astros now need to go 72-64 to even break even. It's not early anymore. Even if they get their shit together tomorrow and from here on out, it's going to be tough to win.

You obviously haven't followed baseball for very long if you actually think those prognostications have merit.

Followed for many years. Again, I was joking about the predictions. You're taking that one line way too seriously.

Also the mocking of Keuchel's "ace" status and gross exaggerations of perpetual 100 loss seasons illustrate you are indeed, a bag of tools.

This is Keuchel's third 5-run start in a row or something like that. Many said that the first one was just a fluke. And then the second one was because he isn't as good on the road. Now what's the excuse? The Astros only made the playoffs last year because he won every game at home. And even with that, and McHugh winning 19, the Astros BARELY made the playoffs. So if Keuchel doesn't have another 20 win season, and McHugh also goes downhill, the Astros have a big, big, big problem considering the rest of their pitching staff's numbers so far.

Oh, and name-calling is always a wonderful way to get someone to see your point of view!

The Astros future hasn't been this bright for a long-term window

Yeah, long-term. But not this year. I'm sure they'll be great in 4 years. But I'll think about that later. Right now we're looking at this season.

But I wouldn't expect you to realize that reality.

Ooh, condescension and name-calling, what a treat!
