[Post Game Thread] The Oklahoma City Thunder defeat the San Antonio Spurs 95-91 to take a 3-2 series lead

It was a great win for OKC the last game of the season, but you can't have it both ways. Either the result of 1 game matters or it doesn't. (And it doesn't, especially in the regular season) regardless of who plays.

It doesn't mean anything other than they are your favorite WC team

That is exactly my point dude. It means nothing that I like the team and the same goes for you so stop pretending that you thought the Thunder were the realistic favorites after game 1. I agree that people were stupid for assuming the series was over, but it would be equally as stupid to assume the Thunder were favored in the series.

But I never said I thought the series was over after game one and have no idea why you continue putting words in my mouth. After game one, I thought the Thunder could still push it to 6, to 7 if they started playing better and only 5 if they kept playing like they did in game 1. Clearly, they started playing much better, and after game 2, I thought it would come down to 7 games with no idea of who the winner would be.

I never said I thought the Thunder would definitely lose, just that they seemed much less likely to after game 1, which they were statistically speaking.

nd it's still only 5 games in! They could still lose the next two though I hope they finish it off in game 6 in San Antonio.

Again I'm not sure why you continue to hurl the insults, but since you're clearly awful at reading anything other than the points you want to argue with me against despite me not making said points, I *agree with you** that it wasn't over and definitely not a sure sweep after game 1.

I bet you that most top analysts were not predicting a sweep after game 1. That's just what super casual fans and Spurs fans were saying.

So you literally don't know what anyone was saying? You're just guessing?

You're probably right - I'm guessing most picked a 6 or 7 game series. But I'll also bet most picked the Spurs to win the thing.

As for the redditors, here are few measured comments from /r/spurs:

[–]Southern_sky 15 points 10 days ago I'll be the guy to say let's slow our roll a little bit. Just game 1. Still 3 more to win to move on. And memories of game 3 in 2013 against Miami when we beat the hell out of them only to still lose the series anyways linger for me still. On to the next one Spurs fans.

[–]EchoRespite 8 points 10 days ago You know who else that lingers for? Pop and everyone else. Nights like this are not really indicative of how a series will go, best believe Pop is telling them that.

[–]KemoE30 7 points 10 days ago 11 more you mean. This ain't shit, but it's a hell of a way to kick things off.

Yeah there were some people ready to declare the Spurs victors, but it was pretty evenly split from what I saw. Get off your high horse dude you're not the only NBA fan on reddit. The more you try to say how others are stupid or casual fans for having differing opinions than you, the dumber and more casual of a fan you come off as FWIW.
