Post-Match Thread: Manchester City 4-3 Tottenham Hotspur (4-4 on aggregate) [UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal | Second Leg]

maybe Lloris should be given more credit.

and with all the VAR controversy I'd love to believe, like so many people seem to want to, that VAR will eventually bring objectivity and clarity and less mistakes - all that.

yet in truth it has already been a mess. every time there's something new: what in the world is handball, what and when to shout offside, then there's all the new screen-interpreting rules for refs, and now this situation when the ref has not been shown the right replay angle. what next? it already just keeps on making things more complicated on the pretext of making it easier. I get it that by now it cannot be given up, but fucking realize that it just adds off-field rules and consequences for the game, so figure out a way to limit its influence instead of making it more and more the deciding factor.
