Post-Match Thread: Southampton 1-1 Watford

So fucking frustrating throwing away another lead in the most unlucky way with Watfords goal. How the fuck is Romeu not on the bench today? Would have been much more useful coming on to help see out a 1-0 win compared to JWP, Long would have been more useful coming on rather than Obafemi if we we're 1-0 up too but I get Obafemi coming on to grab another goal. I'm fuming but can still see there are some positives as well as negatives.

Gabbiadini was clearly our best player on the pitch today, did it all. Scored, won fouls, tracked back, had some decent passes and linked up with the team well, excellent movement as always. Hopefully he can get a run of games now. Took a million years for Hughes to start him with Ings but we got there and it worked, just a shame Ings went off injured. McCarthy, made plenty of key saves today, particularly from Deulofeu. Lemina, very composed on the ball and was efficient in winning the ball and moving it forward.

4-3-3 is clearly our best system and we look very comfortable in it so I'd start this same team next week. I'd like to see Elyounoussi start ahead of Redmond and Romeu on the bench at least. So disappointing cos it just piles on more pressure onto the team and Hughes to win against Fulham.
