For me penetration feels really good when I'm in the mood, but otherwise incredibly painful, so I don't do it often and only do it when I'm sure it'll feel good. I enjoy it a lot, even with fingers. I personally orgasm easier from penetration. (I'm straight).

Most of the women I know who I'm close enough ask about this have said they either feel nothing, or it's painful. So I agree with the other posters here, I think what they are describing is much more common and I'm the unusual one. I read that the clitoris extends with threads(?) around the entire area, so maybe mine happen to be placed in a way that makes PIV feel as a good as it does even when the external clitoris isn't being touched?

Every other woman I know in real life has said they're indifferent or endure penetration. It horrifies me that they do PIV anyway, and that this is treated as normal. I think some part of it is also that most men are absolutely terrible at having sex, but either way as far as I can tell a lot of women are having sex they don't enjoy and it's swept under the rug (when it's not being celebrated that they don't like it!!! D:).
