Of course it suggests they are working on remakes. These people can't say they are without violating non disclosure agreements. They wouldnt be saying anything about remakes if they weren't suggesting that they are working on remakes.

They acknowledge DQ 12 hasnt started, the team is confirming other projects and did what everybody in the corporate world does when they want to say something not approved yet, they talk crypticly about what direction they are going in. Since this was published we got 4 Smash Players from DQ games nobody in the west knows about, two of which now have games on Nintendo hardware and if you google some more recent comments from the DQ Team, you will read more "random commentary" revolving around this topic.

DQ 12 hasnt started dev yet, Square has been hiring over the past months for the DQ Team, they have spent well over a year in full development mode, even hiring for DQ projects and we have Hero from DQ IV and VIII in Smash being introduced to the world.

I like facts too and skepticism is healthy but corporations do not do things for the sake of doing things. We have been getting nothing but "suggestions", followed by some confirmations (1, 2, 3) and development teams hard at work talking about remakes so they vaguely deny remakes while leaving the door wide open for remakes.

May end up eating my words but we are going to see at least 4 and 8 remastered and possibly a remake of 3. Just give it less than 3 months.
