potentially changing jobs and moving to Barcelona for 2 years from California. what to know?

I'm from Portland, went to college in Cali, and now work in Barcelona. You crave the In-n-Out at first but it's gone in no time. I'll offer my initial insight, but I've only been here two weeks so it's not an expert opinion. Alcohol's cheaper. Food is so-so. I got sushi last night for $20, but Chinese at lunch today for $5. It really depends on the restaurant. I haven't done much research and don't know the area so I'm just picking and choosing random restaurants. Understanding the geography of Barcelona seems impossible before you move here, but once you're here it gets really easy. Drinks at the clubs are even more expensive than in Portland which is a big city with steep prices. I was paying 11 Euro last night at the clubs right next to the beach. I haven't seen a movie yet but it's $5 movie Tuesday in California so nothing can get better than that. You're an amateur if you don't know about movie Tuesday. Ask me whatever you want.. If you have something particular that I don't know I'd be down to explore and find an answer. I'm an adventurous guy plus the WiFi at my apartment hasn't been working so I've been going out every single night after work. I've already met some great people and I highly recommend you come. I fell in love with the city after a week. There's a bunch of Americans abroad that you meet literally everywhere you go, especially the bars. Oh and I speak Spanish, but Catalan is the fucking worst. It's a mixture of Spanish and goddamn gibberish. Besides OP, anyone in Barcelona should hit me up. I'm brand new to the city and would love suggestions, ideas, and just good company. Hopefully we'll find you in Barcelona soon u/fsolo23 :)
