I had a similar (wonderful) experience. This fella was selling his whole collection because he was moving from East coast to West coast. He told me he kept his favourite Legacy and EDH decks. He then sold the rest of his decks, then his "goodstuff" binder. The remainder was contained in multiple large tupperware containers, which he gave to me for free. He wouldn't take money - almost angrily refused (I think his new job was extremely lucrative). Either way, it was $1000s worth - lots of bulk, but many thousands of playable C/U and decent $5-10 rares/mythics. An ungodly number of foils too. Never came close to such a haul (for money or free) ever again.
