8, 10. I'm making a general argument here, not specific to countries stuck in a bygone era. Sure, I'll agree, there's almost nothing they can do, they're victims of their own fate. I hope that people, who do care about such injustice, step up and do something about it. Practically though, there's not much one can do to help unless they're really driven.
Let's see. Women do have an inherent power (you might not like the answer though) and that's having a much tighter relationship their children. And women are considered to be more trustworthy or ethical than men. Second part though, again, you're not very wise if you subscribe to somebody's opinion of why God gave no inherent power to women, no matter how sound that is logically simply because it's not true, that person likely hasn't met God and has no idea why women were made that way. Maybe a Christian will say something along the lines of "and the meek shall inherit the world". If it's comforting to you, maybe you should believe that. And if you felt that was belittling, sorry, I was merely giving advice, that was not my intention.
