You can use a footpetal with a headset mic. Any mic works, you just have to select the correct mic from within the powerscribe settings.

One option is to use a footpedal control that has a toggle or deadman’s switch for recording as well as pedals to select the next fill-in field/pick list and another pedal to select the previous field.

The other option is to get a simple on/off pedal. This will require a lot of template optimization so that you can select the fill-in field/pick list with your voice. Or there are also some third-party programs where you can just free-dictate a big blob of text without skipping around to various fields in your templates (such as a long, run-on paragraph that details various normal organs, incidental findings, and abnormal findings for all of the abdominal and pelvic organs) and the third party software will automatically format your wall of text and redistribute the sentences to the various fill-in fields of your templates for a more organized report
