Why Pray for Bdubs?

As /u/billyvnilly said, there is no living. Just 4% survive birth. Average lifespan if they do survive is ~10-15 days iirc with most not surviving for more than 24 hours. Many are stillborn. Some are able to make it longer and cases of people making it to puberty do exist, but are extremely rare (We're talking 1 in 10,000 rare). Even if the child survives birth, it will likely have deformities, health conditions, and both mental and physical disabilities that will make life extremely difficult (the deformities are usually so bad, they can't survive). The ones that do survive are incapable of living a normal life and their life expectancy is quite low.

This was stillborn #2 for my cousin and she aborted #3 because it had trisomy 18 and she's coped with it by learning all she can and educating her family and friends. 13 and 18 make 21 (Down Syndrome) look mild in the end, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to Bdubs and I hope he and his family make it through this all right. It's an awful diagnosis that no one should ever have to go through.
