Prayer request thread for the week of the 20th Sunday after Trinity

If I may. I’m a very new Anglican. Was a Christian in my teens and been in the wilderness for the last 8 years or so. Just reminding my faith now and the Anglican Church really speaks to me. But I digress (I’m a little inedbriated after a friend’s birthday).

On my way home tonight I met a homeless man outside the tube station. A chap called Moses. My name is Joshua and we had quite a long conversation about our biblical names. He said he’s really struggling to keep faith and that he’s been homeless (and hopeless) for the last 3-4 months. I told him I’m recently rediscovering my faith. I don’t know if I foolishly gave away too much money. But he was in tears with me and said he can’t afford to get an ID card to even get welfare or sell The Big Issue (a charitable magazine/job for homeless people in the UK). So I went to the ATM, without any prompting from him, to get him the money he needed for his ID card.

So after a long drunken rambling post, what I want you to pray for is for him to make good use of that money. I want him to keep his promise of spending it on ID to lift himself out of poverty, and pick himself up. I want you to pray for him to keep hold of gis faith. He even talked of being suicidal homself. I want you to pray for him to stay strong and to get through this.

Sorry for random rambling outpouring. It’s early hours of the moening UK time and I’ve never even posted here before. So sorry if I’m intruding.

Please also pray for me to help me grow and develop my faith.

Best wishes. Joshua.
