PRC family in SG kaopeh that Japanese restaurant play Japanese song?

Is this the first time we have seen such posts on Reddit (unverified forums, groups talking about one-off negative incidents regarding foreigners)?

If it's a regularly occurring phenomenon, then why are you treating it as a specific one-off anomaly of an event that can't be generalised to a larger observation about the state of society?

If we don't talk about the crux of the matter, then posts like yours, genuinely questioning the provenance, authenticity and credibility of unverified sources will keep appearing. Because the main issue is not about that specific Facebook group itself, but the wider phenomenon.

Therefore, I don't think I'm digressing on the issue. It's vital to look at not just what is happening, but why it's happening. If not we can "stick to this specific Facebook group" and discuss and speculate until the cows come home, and conclude nothing except "why are people in this Facebook group xenophobic" as though it were our first day in SG. And a week later a similar screenshot of another online forum would appear, and we would have the same futile conversation again.
