[PRE-GAME THREAD] Warriors (1-2) - Thunder (2-1) 5/24/16 (Game 4)

So full disclaimer, I'm an OKC fan and I'm here to try and she some light on why you guys are "hated." I fully expect to be downvoted, which I probably deserve for posting this on your own sub, but I'm hoping that at least before you hit that downvote you try to listen to this post with a semi-open mind.

You guys are not hated for the Warriors "greatness," as has been repeated on this sub countless times in the last few days. When really yall were loved for being great during the regular season. It's kind of like how Americuh bros say that the US is hated for our "freedom."

Another apt comparison was made by one of your own in another thread that got lots of upvotes. They said "We Hillary now." Whatever your politics, you have to realize that one of the main reasons Hillary is hated by her opponents is because she appears entitled to the Presidency, like she's bothered that people would even disagree that she deserves it, like she's just waiting to be anointed.

That's really how I and many other feel about Warriors fans. After your kickass season, it really seems like you all just expect to be handed the Championship because you deserve it. There's a difference between talking shit, which is fine and fun banter, and talking down to your opponents.

The reason why people say Warriors fans are delusional is because you act like you're this downtrodden, hated team, when really the media has been riding the Warriors' dick literally the entire season. All the analysts and gamblers had you at a large advantage to win it all. Now for the first time all season you lose a few big games and receive some legit criticism, and your fans act like the sky is falling, like everyone is just "hating" and "salty" (which is just a truly annoying and played-out word in its own right). Add to this the whole Draymond incident, which whatever you thought about the suspension decision, people are annoyed that Warriors fans refuse to at least acknowledge that it was a reckless move. I mean, the main justification is that he was "selling the foul," which in other circles means "flopping."

At the end of the day, /r/nba is "hating" on yall, because they want to see this fanbase brought down to earth. We see yall as on a high horse, as being entitled and self-righteous, as being over-defensive over every little bit of criticism you've gotten in the last week, when you enjoyed an entire season of being the "Golden Boys."

That's just my 2 cents. I didn't mean to write a book, but I guess I just wanted to get that off my chest, because I really don't want to hate you guys or your team. But a lot of you make it too damn easy.
