[Pre Match Thread] Manchester United vs Liverpool

It's a tricky one because there are so many unknowns, and to win titles, especially the league. You need a top top keeper. I don't have any answers about what happens next season. I see both sides to the argument. I do have some things I've been thinking about:

  • we don't know what David wants, he's just had a baby, does he want to be closer to the family? He's already done well with his wage, he cut want be nearer home and be willing to take a cut. If
  • Good point about Van der Sar, we don't know what Dean's ceiling is, and when/the rate that de Gea will decline. I guess if you think Dean has the quality, you have to make some decisions about when you start that hand over period to Dean.

Personally I think they are both quality keepers, I'll always be a huge fan of David for what he's done for the club. But having said that, I've enjoyed a lot of United keepers, and I think if they Dean has the quality to match them, then i'm not totally opposed to them transitioning.

What i do like about Dean is that he acts like he's the most important person on the pitch, reminds me of schmeichel.
