Pre-Order/Camp-Out/Launch Day Megathread

I worked at Best Buy and when this happened the GM was strict down to firing you. You could only get one if you were on your lunch as approved by manager. Or took one of your daily 15 min breaks. But you couldn’t be “on the clock” and buy one. But they are different and usually very customer centric. I worked there 6 years and it was difficult. But they really do put customers first for sales and keeping in contact.

The secret to the great customer service and contact is...that’s the main way they bonus! Other stores don’t have the same metrics so won’t focus so much or just focus on what the bonus is. But NPS(customer feedback) is a huge deal that can get you reduced hours, demoted, fired or lose money on. The amount of contact we had to have around the customer was very serious.
