Do you prefer the Chaos gods to be representative of subjectively good as well as evil sentiments and concepts, or just evil?

human nature is divorced, objectively, from subjective concepts like good and evil.

I don't necessarily disagree with the rest of your post, but I kinda have to dispute this, at least in a way that doesn't derive from the weirdly earnest Catholic (?) perspective below wherein the Imperial Truth is love and not an insane death-cult that produces massive suffering for no ethically-valid reason.

Good and evil aren't subjective, at least in the way you mean the word, because utilitarianism is true (to put it crudely) and pleasure and pain (for some extremely complex definition of those words) are objectively good and evil respectively, and that experiences are identifiable with physically-existing, materially-real brain-states that you consciously experience. That's how you bridge the gap between subjective and objective.

And, you don't get to Good by becoming selfless so much as by expanding the self, and making the joy and sorrow of other people your own. And, wonderfully, we have the perfect equipment to do that! Mirror neurons, empathy, prosocial bonding and protective instincts, a basic aversion to seeing people in pain and distress. Yes, you're equally equipped with cruelty and sadism and lust for power and whatnot, and yes all of those good things can be subverted and turned evil, but it can just as well be the other way around, and there isn't a discreet, essentialist "human nature" separate from all that is right and good.
