I read an opinion column by John Ibbitson this week where he pointed this out and said that Albertans would just have to accept this reality. Then everyone wonders why separatism is a growing movement in Alberta.

I get that this will be downvoted and receive a bunch of nasty comments...but Alberta did contribute an awful lot to the prosperity of this country for decades, and will continue to do so once the pandemic is over. To see the federal government respond so weakly to this is discouraging to say the least.
