Not even really true. I watched the video clips these headlines are based on. He said he didn't see a lot of what people are calling political as actually being political and used diversity and such as examples of non-political things in media. Then he outright said that he's going to empower storytellers at Disney to keep telling the stories they want and to push forward important ideas that align with Disney values and that their sense of "what's right" is important.

The only reason these headlines are coming out is because after that, he was asked about the "Don't Say Gay" bill and he turned that to addressing working for the audience instead of talking about politics. He said that they need to listen to their audience as much as they talk to their audiences and not insult them. But I don't think they're going to change the message of their movies and shows.
