Preparing for 344 (Muthu)

Thanks for writing all of that out man. Sure! I have a book I wanna read but it isn't coming till Christmas so I'm just lazing it up.

What do you mean by online exams... There are lots of other universities teaching undergrads algorithms. Just look up "algorithms undergrad practice exam", take problems relevant to your course material, and practice those. Muthu does also post practice exams, and I found those extremely helpful for the actual exams.

With the curve, what was an A? I actually got a ~70 overall in the course (69.9 to be exact). However, Muthu noted in lecture that he cared much more about people improving from the midterm and that significant improvement would be rewarded. I got 44% on the midterm (50% average) while I got a 72% on the final (36% average). So while I was in the running for a B+ (according to other friends who got a 65 and 72), I think my improvement was so dramatic that they decided to bump me up.
