US President Donald Trump has cancelled a state visit to Denmark after the nation's prime minister said Greenland was not for sale to the US

From the american side, it is quite clear what their wishes are: a passage into the Arctic. Had Trump not gone about it as he did, the visit would possibly have turned into a negotation, wherein the US wanted access to Denmarks Arctic territory, while Denmark in return would have negotiated for free trade and measures against recession.

This is sort of where you give up the ghost on not having any idea what you're talking about. The US already has access to Denmark's arctic territory, military bases on Greenland, and isn't going to negotiate for free trade with Denmark unilaterally. All this is fantasy bullshit which I'm guessing Trump thought was a realistic possibility too. Because he's a moron.
