Your painting with a broad brush there and it's wildly inaccurate for some. This is my families story. Perhaps it'll spread some light onto the pro-life viewpoint for you.

So my mom and her family are from a very small farming town in northern Iowa. This was about 35 years ago so my mom's sister, my aunt, who had a boyfriend at the time was about 17. She got pregnant, and because it was a small, church-going town, got scared of what people will think. Without talking to anyone, her and her boyfriend decided on getting an abortion. On their way to the clinic they got a flat. Unfortunately the farm truck they were driving was already using the spare so they had to wait for someone to stop. Who happened to drive by but my grandad. He could tell something was up and eventually got them to spill the beans. Now that grandpa knew, my aunt wasn't going to get an abortion. 8 months later she had her first child.

Fast forward 35 years. He's an EMT. He's married. He and his wife are foster parents. They adopted their first daughter last year.

To add a last bit. I didn't share my personal views for a reason. I wanted to share my families story to give a more concrete experience to those who don't understand the pro-life point of view. I don't want to debate abortion rights.
