President Trump grants pardon to former Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona

Wouldn't this constitute a constitutional crisis?

It's not, as he has the power in the constitution, but let's say it did, does it matter? This one has pushed me over the edge and has really made me feeling like it's over. He's a fascist, and the party in power has done NOTHING to stand up to it, and has only served to gerrymander elections for the future. The most powerful statement so far about this is Flake's "I would have preferred..." bullshit? This may not be a technical abuse of power, he can do this, but there's no politician in America who doesn't know it's wrong, and that this is ALL about the racial shit in this country over the last two weeks, and that it's our president saying exactly where he stands.

It breaks my heart to say it, but it's over, kids. You have a fascist president with a party explicitly allowing ALL of this to happen and absolutely no sign that they'll be standing up despite daily signs that if they gave a flying fuck about democracy or freedom that they need to. Let's stop kidding ourselves that every time McConnell or Ryan makes some tepid worded disagreement that they're gonna stand up to him, no matter what Mueller does or says. They're not, and he's clearly gonna pardon everyone involved.
