Trump was socially connected to Epstein through New York society. Billionaires and all that. That ended when he went to a gathering at Epstein's beach house and he noticed that there were inappropriate things going on. He politely excused himself and that was that.

That is my understanding of the extent of Trump's involvement with Epstein. Wild accusations have been thrown around since the election but unlike practically everyone else associated with Epstein, travelling to the island, etc, there's never been any documentation that he was there and no actual witnesses have ever alleged that Trump was involved with any of this.

There has been quite an effort towards conflating Trumps early social interactions with Epstein with these other activities, for obvious reasons.
