Pressing 'Pause' on Your Entrepreneurial Dreams

I'm torn by this post... I had one venture I did and it was not successful because I wasn't truly passionate about it. Yet even in my half assed effort did I make enough money to stay afloat? Yes for the most part. But it was stressful because of those lack of funds, like you said.

I had one idea-- which I realize now was divine timing. I so badly wanted to do it and felt very passionate about it but held back. I didn't even try. Turns out if I would've went for it- It'd be worth 40% more now just a few years later. So honestly, if someone feels strongly about going for it- I'd probably encourage them. If they fall, oh well at least they gave it a solid go. Who knows what can happen. I know someone who's family never encouraged her dream and wouldn't back it. Well someone she knew/close got that support and ended up being a celeb/millionaire... so now her family is willing, but kind of too late. You need to move in the moment.

That being said IDK with the first thing, I realize I would've been better off with a "real job"... yet there's a lot you learn in those experiences. Being young is for doing what they want while they can- don't hold back, in whatever it is... if that's what they feel passionate about, that's what they should be doing. Now I'd say to also hold a day job, since that's what I didn't do that would've made things easier. It's true the more money you have, the faster you'll see a return. I wouldn't let that discourage people though, if you believe in it- go for it. If people fall, they can always get back up and try again. I think it's worth a shot- you need to avoid the "what if's"..
