Previous chronic procrastinator’s

I can def relate and I will tell you it is a BATTLE you will have to FIGHT against your own lazy and anxious feelings. I am finally on the road to recovery thou i have many many battles ahead.

First thing I will say is to make an effort to keep your environment clean and ordered. No doubt a procastinator has a messy home, cluttered desk, dirty bathroom, unmade bed, etc, etc. So first goal would be to wake up and establish order around your immediate area. Like make your bed, clear your desks, pick up and put away clothes, and keep your sink clean. Just doing this will make you feel more in control. And do your laundry so you have a fresh set of clothes waiting.

This may seem overwhelming. So i suggest you use a timer and just work on each one for 5 minutes. You will be suprised how quickly you can knock everything out (usually 20-30 minutes)

Next apply the same effort to yourself. Chronic procastinators typically dont care for themselves. They may not exercise, groom their body/nails/hair, dress well, etc. So make an effort everday to spend 10-15 min on yourself. This will earn you back your own self respect and dignity.

Once you have some new level of control over your environment and yourself your perspective will change. You will feel empowered to make changes since you realize they are based on small, discrete steps. It will also teach you that ultimately you are responsible for your problems and no one will come by and fix them for you.

So at that point make a list of all the issues you have been putting off and make a plan to attack them. I call it my '99 problems and the bitch aint one' (unless she is of course)

Since that is general advice and I dont know your specifics I will just say start with the first two tips. They have helped me A LOT.
