Actual experience in a CVS:

Dropped off a prescription and the lady told me it would be about ten minutes. She asked if I wanted to wait in the store and I figured it would take longer to drive home and back so I said yes, I would wait. Guy behind me walked up to the counter and got the same spiel. He too decided to wait.

fifteen minutes pass with no response, but other people come and go just fine grabbing their own medicines. At the twenty minute mark I'm beginning to get annoyed when the guy who was behind me is called to the counter. His medicine is ready so he takes it and leaves. I ask the lady when mine will be ready. She's busy filling a bottle with pills and gives me an angry look before telling me she doesn't know, shoving the bottle into a bag and placing it on the counter to the side of the window. At 45 minutes I'm beginning to doubt they ever had any clue when it would be ready. At an hour I once again approach the counter. This time it's a different woman. I ask her when it'll be ready and she tells me she doesn't know, but she can ask. She walks back into the pharmacy and returns a moment later. Without a word she grabs the bag off the counter that the first lady had been filling an forty minutes ago and hands it to me...
